The Profoto Air system can be operated on one of eight selectable radio channels on the 2.4GHz radio frequency band, making it useable world-wide.

The Profoto Air Remote transceiver offers complete generator control, of all Profoto generators with Profoto Air inside, at your camera or in your hand, including flash energy and modeling light control. The device controls practically an infinite number of generators in up to six groups, either all at once in Master mode, or in individual groups, and has an operating range of 300m/1,000ft. Profoto Air Remote also allows remote camera release and flash synchronization. It can be hot shoe mounted, or cable connected, depending on the camera in use.
