Armstrong was the founding director of the School of Journalism at the University of Florida, he graduated summa cum laud from Drury and also obtained bachelors and masters degrees from the University of Missouri at Columbia School of Journalism studying under the distinguished Walter Williams-the originator of the Journalistic Creed. He also obtained a law degree from Columbia. Armstrong was a WWI fighter pilot, a Missouri State congressman and a member of the U. S. House of Representatives. He was one of Readers Digest most prolific writers and editors. This is his story.
