Editorial Review
This unusual activity book with its landscape format will really encourage children to take a closer look at what lies below the sea, from marine animals to divers who explore the undersea world. Much more than just an activity book, it is packed with fascinating facts and activities ranging from mazes (I love the octopus maze!) to complete the scene and colouring in. There's plenty of scope for the imagination, such as designing an underwater hairstyle, and the range of activities and information is impressively varied. The illustrations are of a high standard and the pages are perforated so they can be pulled out to display. * Parents in Touch * Under Water is similarly presented but with underwater creatures to colour. Activities herein range from designing a deep-sea diver's costume, to spotting and drawing 16 pieces of rubbish that have found their way into a lake scene. Fun learning and creativity bound together and absolutely ideal for holidays, rainy days and times when children (or you) want some relaxing no-screen time, these beauties take activity books to a whole new level of excellence. * Red Reading Hub * Packed full of facts and activities these activity books will keep children amused for hours on end. Come on a drawing expedition in 'Under Water', create your own coral reef, find the shortest route through the wreck of the Titanic and wrestle with the tentacles of a colossal squid. Gloriously illustrated, these books will capture your child's imagination and help them find out lots of fascinating facts on the way. * Book Lover Jo * Under Earth, Under Water is the work of talented graphic artists Aleksandra and Daniel Mizielinski, the creative married couple whose giant-sized book of fascinating facts and mind-blowing revelations has succeeded in capturing the imagination of any child who ever wondered what lies beneath their feet. From fossilised dinosaur bones, super-deep boreholes and ancient relics to giants of the deep, spectacular sinkholes and coral reefs, the large format book reveals in spectacular style how the big, wide world under the earth and sea is brimming with colour, human creations and strange creatures. And now, using the Mizielinskis' distinctive style, these inventive books each contain 36 tie-in activities including mazes, complete the scene drawings and imaginative scenes to colour in. Learn fascinating facts and advice about growing your own potatoes, visit an underground city, complete a dinosaur skeleton, create your own coral reef, design a deep sea diver's costume, or cut out and make your own amazing creatures. The books feature stunning drawings of animals and objects found beneath the surface of the earth and sea and are guaranteed to provide hours of fun, discovery and entertainment for those rainy days and holidays. -- Pam Norfolk * Lancashire Evening Post *
