Editorial Review
"...a great little book for investors who are trying to improve their asset allocation. Lots of meat and fun to read." --Brenda Jubin, Ph.D., Seeking Alpha "Chock full of easy to digest information, useful advice, specific fund recommendations and it is a hoot and a holler to read. Not a dull page in it. And it will tell you just about everything you need to know about these essential alternative investment portfolio diversifiers." -- Consuelo Mack, WealthTrack “The authors give an uncommonly clear account of the desirable alternatives, especially hedge funds. This is a great little book for investors who are trying to improve their asset allocation. Lots of meat and fun to read.”
About the Author
Ben Stein is a respected economist who is known to many as a movie and television personality, but has worked more in personal and corporate finance than anywhere else. He has written about finance for Barron's, the Wall Street Journal, the New York Times, and Fortune; was one of the chief busters of the junk-bond frauds of the 1980s; has been a longtime critic of corporate executives' self-dealing; and has cowritten eight finance books. Stein travels the country speaking about finance in both serious and humourous ways, and is a regular contributor to CBS's Sunday Morning, CNN, and Fox News. He was the winner of the 2009 Malcolm Forbes Award for Excellence in Financial Journalism. Phil DeMuth, Ph.D. is Managing Director of Conservative Wealth Management LLC, a SEC registered investment advisor to high-net-worth individuals. He has cowritten eight books with Ben Stein as well as writing for the Wall Street Journal, Barron's, the Journal of Financial Planning, Human Behavior and Psychology Today. He has been interviewed by or quoted in Fortune, the New York Times, the Financial Times, Research, Yahoo!Finance, the Motley Fool Retirement Newsletter, and Playboy. Television appearances include Kudlow & Company, Glenn Beck, Squawk Box, Forbes on Fox, and Wall Street Week.
