Kelo-cote Advanced Formula Scar Gel, 10 gram.
Kelo-cote is patented, transparent, self-drying silicone gel technology which improves the appearance of scars and prevents excessive scar formation. Its unique blend of silicones cross-links and binds to skin, forming a flexible, breathable layer, and helps soften and flatten scars for a less-noticeable appearance. Features include:
Scarring can develop after the skin is injured, as in a cut, burn, or abrasion, and as the wound heals. Scars can sometimes develop abnormally, forming hypertrophic or keloid scars, which are raised and unsightly, and can cause emotional problems and issues with movement for some people.
Keloid scarring is more common in darker skin, and occurs after minor injuries such as insect bites, ear piercings, or vaccinations.
Hypertrophic scarring is more common in lighter skin and usually is confined to the area of the skin that is injured. Hypertrophic scars also tend to follow burns or surgery; both types are more likely to develop if the injury occurs on certain sites of the skin, such as the lower face, neck, and upper arms.1

Observe the following cautions:
When should I begin using Kelo-cote?
You may begin using Kelo-cote as soon as the skin is healed and there is no oozing or crusting in the area. Treatment with Kelo-cote for post-surgical scars may typically begin approximately 1-2 weeks after stitches are removed or when cleared by your physician or surgeon for use. For existing scars, you may begin using Kelo-cote right away, provided your skin is fully healed.
What types of scars does Kelo-cote work on?
Kelo-cote works to diminish the appearance of hypertrophic scars and keloids, which have a raised and/or discolored appearance. These types of scars may result from surgery, injury, burns, acne, cuts, insect bites, and others.
Can I use Kelo-cote on any part of my body?
When used as directed, Kelo-cote can be used on any part of the body, avoiding mucous membranes, open wounds, and direct contact with eyes. It is ideal for exposed or hard-to-treat areas such as face, ears, neck, scalp, arms, hands, and joint areas. Once dry, Kelo-cote can also be worn under makeup.
Can Kelo-cote completely remove a scar?
It is not possible to make a scar 'invisible'. Kelo-cote may, however, markedly improve the appearance of scars – old and new.
How long should I use Kelo-cote?
Treatment duration will vary from person to person and from scar to scar, depending on many factors. Recommended minimum treatment time is 60-90 days. Larger and older scars may take longer, therefore continued use is recommended if improvement is still seen after the initial 90 days. Individual results will vary.
