[Reminder of Replacement] – Make sure you have basic soldering skills and some de-soldering supplies like an electronics solder iron and small gauge solder. Use a pair of pliers to separate the problem sensor off the thumbstick component. A metal pick helps to clear the holes in the PCB. Re-soldering the new unit in is a breeze. Just remember to use flux and keep the iron's tip well tinned
[2.3KΩ Potentiometer] – The OEM trim pot resistor was made by ALPS. It fits for ALPS analog joysticks. This trimmer potentiometer works for PS5
[Additional Resistor] – Complicated moving mechanism and daily wear and tear finally caused drifting. Even new sensors cannot be 100% balanced. Calibrating in controller settings might not work. We packed 15x correction resistors to solve the potential problem in hardware level. Solder one or two paralleled tiny resistors onto the potentiometer at the opposite direction against drifting. It will help correct 3 to 5 degrees drifting
[Compatibility] – There are two different resistance values. Make sure the value is around 2.3K before ordering. Never judge its value by its color. (Be noticed: Choose 10KΩ version for most PS3, PS4, Xbox One, Elite Series 1 and 2, Xbox Series S|X and Switch Pro controllers. )
[For most joystick problem] – The potentiometer sensor needs to be replaced when the controller has the problem of creeping, stuttering, a blind spot, a dead spot, a dead zone, or it wouldn't center after years of wear and tear. De-soldering the unit with only 3Pins will be a lot easier than replacing the entire joystick with as many as 14 prongs
