G-SHOCK - Never Give Up

In the early 1980s, Kikuo Ibe was the leading watch designer of CASIO. In 1981, he founded a project team with only three members who should realise Ibes vision of an indestructible watch. Your efforts are aimed at realizing the Triple 10 concept. Various materials have been tested, the shock resistance of the first prototypes has been subjected to the toughest requirements.

The young CASIO engineer Kikuo Ibe effortlessly realized his dream of developing an ultra-robust watch that does not affect knocks, bumps and falls. Willenskraft meets Overtime. Giving up has not been questioned.

In 1983 the almost indestructible clock DW-5600 came into trade and the history of G-SHOCK begun. Since then G-Shock has accompanied people who never give up. DJs, hiphop, skate, snowboard and trick bike pros for more than thirty years. Be tough. Doesn’t matter. Do your own thing and be ahead of the time.

Challenge the Limits (minimum requirement for each G-SHOCK)


Triple 10 Battery life of 10 years, waterproof up to 10 bar water pressure and shock resistance from up to 10 meters drop depth. These are the three original requirements of the Triple 10 concept. The stable shape and robust design were created with the demand of the developers for an unbreakable watch. Since the launch of the first G-SHOCK in 1983, the watches have been continuously evolved without losing the unique basic design.	Impact resistance Even if life is less organised than the time, watches should still not come out of the clock. Wherever impact-resistant stands on, you can assume that thanks to sophisticated suspension mechanisms and housing structures a lot can be inserted.	Stop function The stop function of a G-SHOCK makes it easier to measure accurately. Expired times are measured in seconds. The measuring capacity of the watch lasts up to 24 hours.
