Launched in the year 1924 in Germany, Hugo Ferdinand Boss opened a clothing factory in Metzingen, Germany and soon turned brand Hugo Boss into an international brand with several decades of experience in designing fashionable clothing and accessories for men and women. In 1944, during a controversial chapter of the brand's history, the factory produced uniforms for the German army.

By 1950, The first men's suits order is received after Eugen Holy, Hugo's son-in-law, joins and expands the business. Over two decades, Hugo Boss begins to transform into a high-end fashion brand after Jochen and Uwe Holy, Eugen's sons, take over the business.

In 1996, The Boss brand is granted it's first watch licence and begins releasing trendy timepieces.
